this is the ink drawing piece. this is in my sketchbook and it started out as a thumbnail but i really liked how it turned out. could it be my final piece or do i need to have it on a separate piece of paper?
Yay!!!! You are getting some work finished! This is fine to stay in your sketchbook. I am fine if you do a BUNCH of work in there. We can always shoot it while it stays in the book and it is easier to carry to schools that way too. So don't remove it. We will be doing plenty of other things on loose surfaces. No need to invest in Photoshop yet. We have it at school and that will work for now. You may be able to get it for free, depending on where you go to college, so patience, K. Hey. Think about something for me. Think about what you want your senior year to be like this year in regard to your art. You have an INCREDIBLE amount of talent, but the follow-through has always been a problem. You can change that you know. It won't be easy, but the effort is SOOOOO worth it! I would love to see you learn something from Brittney's experience. If you asked her she would back me up 100% ... just think about it and we'll talk. AP just might be a possibility after all. ... I'm just saying....
Even though I'm not really part of this blog I wanted to say how cool this is. I love how at first glance the lines make it look simplistic, but then you keep staring and you see all the detail put into it. Also, great job with composition. You really feel as if you're eye level with a table filled with glasses. Anyway, pretty much what I'm saying is awesome job. Your drawing is beautiful. =]
This will be "Art 4 Central" for you. I will expect to hear from each of you on a regular basis. Assignments will be posted here. Updates of interest will be popping up when necessary. We can talk about art questions or problems. (Really we can talk about anything; I want some fun vacation reports as well.) You will be asked to post your work to share with the group. I want both imagesand text. You will be posting feedback for your peers' work too. There will be grades given in the fall for your level of participation. This is a great way to get a jump on your portfolio for next year. So be sure to check in on a regular basis!
